We are excited to have Johan Loo, the chief editor of the blog Consensus Based, join us as a contributor on Extra Tech Corner.
Johan is an experienced hand in the tech space having covered blockchain extensively over the past years with Consensus Based. He understands the technology behind blockchain, analyzes the news, and is adept at describing blockchain backgrounds.
Johan’s audience includes professionals, interested readers, and people who want to learn more about blockchain and other related tech areas.
Explaining his vision with ETC, Johan noted “Through this blog, I want to create more awareness about blockchain technology. Blockchain is becoming more and more known. Also, more and more companies are using blockchain. The use cases with blockchain are also increasing. Not only companies but also governments are experimenting more and more with blockchain”.
Besides being a blockchain specialist, Johan is a tax lawyer (LLM) in daily life. He graduated from Leiden University (2019), and is currently working as an international tax lawyer at Grant Thornton Netherlands B.V.
Johan advises multinationals, private equity houses, cryptocurrency companies, and high-net-worth individuals on various tax issues.
“Since I also have a background in tax, I want to bring tax and blockchain closer together. As a tax lawyer, it is important to be aware of blockchain technology, as blockchain has the potential to disrupt the legal industry. But blockchain is not only important for lawyers (on the contrary!) but also for other sectors (like logistics and banking)” he said.
The Publisher of ETC, Amana Alkali, noted that Johan was an excellent addition to the Team.
“It is our pleasure to welcome Johan and his years of professional experience to the team. There is no doubt about the immediate value he brings. Readers will certainly get to learn more and better about blockchain and its operations from his content and expositions” he said.
